Design and implementation of the Research Unit of the University Center for Neurodevelopment (UCN) in the three Palestinian Universities will be achieved using the following:
- Provide lab equipment and training for measuring Central and Peripheral Nervous System (CNS) activity, and cognitive and emotional responses in children. Lab equipment will include;
- EEG research equipment.
- Eye-tracking research equipment
- GSR-ECG-EMG research and education equipment
- Psychological and neuropsychological tests
- Train academic staff in transversal research skills in the area of neurodevelopment, including methodological and technical knowledge for conducting research.
- Train academic staff in some novel research topics in neurodevelopmental, such as:
- Cross-cultural neuropsychology in Children
- Effects of stress during pregnancy on neurodevelopment
- Effects of early trauma exposition on neurodevelopment
- Effects of poverty and malnutrition on neurodevelopment
- Neuropsychological mechanisms of addiction to videogames in adolescents
