Based on a study conducted by Bethlehem University, Hebron University, and An-Najah University on the state of psychological services provided to children with developmental disorders in Palestine and based on the urgent need to enhance scientific research, practical training, and community services in the field of neurodevelopmental disorders and neuropsychology in Palestine, the three Palestinian universities, in cooperation with specialized institutions and professional centers, agreed to establish the Palestinian Network for Child Neurodevelopment (PNCN). This initiative falls within the framework of the NeuroDev project, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation and unifying efforts to advance services for children with developmental disorders and their families.

The Network’s Main Objectives:

  • Promoting Institutional Cooperation: Providing a platform for communication and joint cooperation between universities, hospitals, institutions, and centers specialized in the field of neurodevelopment.
  • Scientific Research: Conducting surveys and joint scientific research in the field of neuropsychology and neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Training and Rehabilitation: organizing capacity-building programs for those working in this field and providing workshops and training for parents.
  • Sharing Experiences and Expertise: holding meetings and conferences to share the latest research and exchange successful experiences.
  • Raising Community Awareness: implementing awareness campaigns targeting families, teachers, and healthcare institutions, addressing neurodevelopmental disorders, risk factors, and the importance of early intervention.
