The third day of the training program featured a series of specialized sessions on eye-tracking technologies and cardiovascular measurements, with the participation of Dr. Florie Monier, an expert in the field of eye tracking and neurodevelopment.

The program included:

  • Theoretical Foundations: Introduction to the theoretical principles of eye-tracking technology, including visual fixations, saccades, and calibration challenges.

  • Cardiovascular Measurement Principles: Studying the core principles of cardiovascular measurements, including electrocardiography (ECG), heart rate (HR), and heart rate variability (HRV).

  • Hands-on Eye-Tracking: Practical training on setting up and calibrating eye-tracking devices, executing experimental tasks, and data collection.

  • Practical ECG Applications: Hands-on experience in setting up ECG equipment and recording data during states of rest, stress, and recovery.

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Learning methods for data analysis and interpretation, including processing eye-tracking data, detecting visual fixations, and analyzing key metrics for cardiac and heart rate variability data.

  • Interactive Discussions: Practical sessions and open discussions to address inquiries and facilitate knowledge exchange among participants.

The day concluded with a special city tour to explore Clermont-Ferrand and its historical and cultural landmarks, providing a wonderful opportunity to enhance networking and interaction among participants from the various partner institutions.
