Bethlehem University was honored to host Dr. Linah Al-Banna, a child neuropsychologist and an expert in neuropsychological assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders from the United States. This visit which took place from December 4 to 20 aimed to support and further develop the Master’s Program in Child Neuropsychology and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, as well as to contribute to the establishment of a specialized university-based center for child neuropsychological assessment at Bethlehem University.
The visit included meetings with the Neurodevelopment Project (NeuroDev) team, funded by the European Union, in addition to the delivery of an intensive and specialized training program for master’s students. The training comprised practical applications in neuropsychological assessment, along with discussions emphasizing the importance of integrating theoretical frameworks with clinical practices. Graduate students were also given hands-on opportunities to work with advanced assessment models and to discuss professional challenges related to the application of assessment tools within the Palestinian context.
This visit falls within the efforts of Bethlehem University to strengthen international academic collaboration and to provide advanced training experiences for graduate students. Such efforts contribute to equipping future neuropsychologists with high scientific and professional competence, capable of integrating theoretical and applied knowledge to respond effectively to local community needs, in alignment with internationally recognized scientific and professional standards.
